For fifty years you’ve been a pair,
Where one’s been, the other’s there,
Like Marley horses in a grate
you’ve been each other’s very best mate;
When times were hard you both pulled to
and with gentle love you muddled through
life’s little trials and tribulations
- not to mention strange relations!
But here you are half century on
and still you both remain as one,
With love like that you need no more
